Job Summary:

Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse position available in Deming, New Mexico. This role involves providing care to Post Anesthesia Care patients in a fast-paced clinical environment. Candidates are required to bring their licensure on the first day. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience, including prior travel experience, specifically in orthopedics, ophthalmology, or gynecology.

Job Details:

• Location: Deming, New Mexico


• Shift: Days, 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday


• Required Qualifications: Active Registered Nurse licensure in the United States, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), at least 2 years of experience in orthopedics, ophthalmology, or gynecology, prior travel experience, and must not be local candidates.


• Additional Information: No local applicants accepted. All travel submissions must meet the minimum experience and prior travel requirement. This position is a replacement for permanent staff. Candidates should be prepared for shift accountability in delivering safe patient care, utilizing critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership skills in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act, AORN (Association of periOperative Registered Nurses), and hospital policies.


• Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday


• Float: Float rotation may be required.


• Position Details: The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of care; maintains clinical competencies through continuing education; delegates patient care priorities based on education and experience; provides direction and supervision of staff delivering patient care.
