Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Valid caregiver certification or completion of a recognized caregiver training program. Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR. Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by state regulations. Demonstrated experience in providing personal care or support to elderly or disabled individuals. Preferred Qualifications: Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA). Experience working with clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other chronic conditions. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation software. Additional training in specialized care techniques such as mobility assistance or palliative care. Strong communication skills in multiple languages. Responsibilities: Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Prepare and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Administer medications and monitor health conditions, reporting any changes to healthcare providers or family members. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients. Assist with transportation to medical appointments, errands, and social activities as needed. Document care provided and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or changes in client condition. Skills: The required skills enable caregivers to perform essential daily tasks such as personal hygiene assistance, medication management, and basic health monitoring with confidence and accuracy. Effective communication skills are vital for interacting compassionately with clients and their families, ensuring clear understanding of care plans and emotional support.
