The Quality Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that manufactured products meet established quality standards and customer requirements. This position focuses on inspecting components and assemblies using visual checks, blueprints, and precision measurement tools within a modern manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quality inspections on manufactured parts and assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Use precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Conduct visual quality inspections to identify defects, inconsistencies, or nonconformities in products.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
• Apply basic Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) concepts during inspections to assess compliance with design specifications.
• Document inspection results clearly and accurately, noting any deviations from specifications.
• Communicate inspection findings to production and quality teams to support corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Follow established quality assurance procedures and inspection standards to maintain consistency and reliability.
• Maintain inspection tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
• Support a culture of quality by adhering to best practices and contributing to ongoing process improvements.

Essential Skills

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform thorough visual inspections.
• Ability to follow established quality assurance and inspection procedures.
• Clear and accurate documentation skills for recording inspection results.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with production and quality teams.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspection or quality assurance is beneficial.
• Familiarity with inspection standards and manufacturing quality processes.
• Comfort working with both visual and measurement-based inspection methods.
• Ability to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Sarasota, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
