Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN Substance Abuse (LPN)

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Full Time or Part Time, Permanent position. Location: One World Trade Center, 285 Fulton St (85TH FL), New York, NY 10007. Immediate Start We are looking for an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team. You will be responsible for medication administration, patient monitoring, and working closely with the nursing staff to provide high‑quality care. Job Requirements Current State Specific Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) License Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Minimum of 6 months experience as an LPN preferred Job Description Administer medications as ordered by physicians. Transcribe medication orders to ensure accurate administration. Monitor, document, and manage infectious disease protocols. Supervise client support staff working independently. Provide care for adult or geriatric patients with mental health disorders, including assessments and interventions. Apply specialized nursing knowledge in assessing, implementing, and evaluating patient responses to complex conditions. Initiate nursing care, health teaching, and counseling in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and under the supervision of appropriate personnel on the assigned psychiatric/mental health unit. Comply with CapsuleAID policies and procedures, and client facility nursing policies. Assist with developing priorities, goals, and action plans; schedule nursing staffing. Formulate philosophy and objectives; establish standards of nursing care and practice. Select, orient, supervise, and evaluate clinical nurses; maintain performance evaluation systems. Collaborate with professional and technical schools to enhance clinical education programs. Facilitate communication and problem solving for departments; lead or serve on committees. Serve as a resource person; support policy interpretation and implementation; manage budgeting responsibilities. Ensure departmental activities and records comply with regulatory requirements; evaluate nursing care and recommend improvements. Oversee compliance with infection control practices and mandatory education requirements; perform other assigned duties. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Communicate effectively with appropriate personnel. Provide patient services in a non‑judgmental, non‑discriminatory manner, respecting cultural diversity and autonomy. Advocate patient rights concerning advance directives and organ donation. Maintain competency through continuing education and meet state‑specific requirements.
