Assistant General Manager - Northern Tap House Eau Claire

Job Description

Job Description

LOVE SPORTS? LOVE BEER? LOVE GREAT HOSPITALITY?COME HELP RUN THE BEST DARN TAPHOUSE IN THE NORTH.

We're looking for an Assistant General Manager who knows a great sports bar isn't built from behind a desk.

It's built on the floor—when the place is packed, the game is on, the beer is flowing, the kitchen is moving, and everyone is having a damn good time.

If that sounds like your kind of Saturday night, keep reading.

THIS ISN'T JUST ANOTHER MANAGEMENT JOB.

You'll work alongside the General Manager to build a great team, deliver an awesome guest experience, and drive strong restaurant results.

We believe in The Way It Should Be.

Take care of your people. Take care of your guests. Hold the standard. Have each other's backs. Work hard. Celebrate the wins. And have some fun doing it.

And when a guest asks for something?

Our first answer is YES.

Because that's hospitality.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Run great shifts and keep the restaurant moving.
• Coach, train, and develop a strong team.
• Be on the floor—especially when we're busy.
• Create an atmosphere guests and employees want to be part of.
• Hold people accountable while keeping the culture positive.
• Say YES to guests whenever humanly possible.
• Understand sales, labor, costs, and profitability.
• Maintain high standards for food, drinks, service, cleanliness, and safety.
• Handle packed houses, big games, weekends, and the occasional beautiful disaster.
• Jump in wherever you're needed. No job is beneath you.
• See problems, solve them, and leave the restaurant better than you found it.

YOU MIGHT BE OUR PERSON IF:

• You love restaurants, sports, beer, great food, and a high-energy environment.
• You genuinely enjoy working with people.
• You believe accountability and positivity belong on the same team.
• You aren't afraid of difficult conversations.
• You take care of your team and your guests.
• You see a problem and fix it instead of walking past it.
• You can handle pressure when the building is absolutely rocking.
• You want to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

• Competitive salary
• Performance bonus opportunities
• Health & dental insurance
• Paid vacation
• Free meals while working
• Ongoing development and training
• Opportunities to grow into a General Manager role and beyond
• A supportive management team
• A culture where we work hard and have fun doing it

HERE'S THE DEAL.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership, cares about people, and wants to make the restaurant better every day.

Better team. Better service. Better numbers. Better guest experience. Better culture.

If you can take care of guests, support your team, own your responsibilities, and have some fun when things get crazy...

We should probably meet.
