Food Service Manager

Work hours are typically 4:30 am - 1:00 pm or 10:30 am - 7:00pm, Monday through Friday and weekends from 9:00am - 5:00 pm. This position works a 2-week rotating schedule as follows: Week 1: Sun, Tues, Wed, Thur, Fri Week 2: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri, Sat SRSTC opened in 2001 and provides care and treatment for several different patient populations. The center houses Wisconsin’s Sexually Violent Persons Program, provides care and treatment for persons found not guilty by reasons of mental disease or mental defect, and provides court ordered treatment, testing, and education to patients found not competent to stand trial. SRSTC is a 500-bed treatment facility and is part of the Division of Care and Treatment Services (DCTS). Watch this video to learn more about the work of DCTS . As a Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties: Directing and coordinating the food service program at SRSTC. Supervising the preparation, serving, and distributing of all meals for patients and staff. Coordinating staff and their training within the Food Service Department. Purchasing supplies and equipment for the food service operation. Maintaining records, writing reports, and performing related work as required. Salary Information The starting pay is between $32.32 and $34.63 per hour (approximately between $67,200 and $72,000 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. These positions are in pay schedule and range 81/04. All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SRSTC or medical personnel approved by the facility after their start date. All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Experience serving in a supervisor or leadership role in food service (i.e., scheduling, training, mentoring, coaching, evaluating performance, etc.) Experience using computer programs (such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook etc.) to create spreadsheets, documents, manage email, etc. Experience performing daily operational duties in food service (i.e., serving food, following proper food handling safety and sanitation practices, etc.) Experience working in food service in an institutional or secure setting. Experience in food ordering and inventory management. Experience working in a large-scale food service operation (preparing 500+ meals daily ). Experience working in a food nutritional program or with electronic health records.
