Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:30 PM
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire | Part-Time to Full-Time Opportunity
Setting: High School Food Service
Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher / Food Service Utility Worker to join a high school food service team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity starting at $17.00 per hour , with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance, attendance, and business needs.
The ideal candidate is reliable, flexible, and willing to help wherever needed while maintaining a clean, safe, and professional school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Wash and sanitize dishes, trays, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain clean and organized kitchen, dishwashing, and food service areas.
- Sweep, mop, remove trash, and assist with general kitchen cleanup.
- Stock and organize food service supplies.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation, serving, cafeteria cleanup, and other kitchen duties as needed.
- Flex into other food service responsibilities as needed to support the team.
- Maintain professional and appropriate conduct around students, school staff, and coworkers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check appropriate for working in a school environment.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Must be available Monday–Friday from 10:00 AM–2:30 PM .
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Ability to follow sanitation, safety, and food-handling procedures.
- Previous dishwashing, cafeteria, restaurant, custodial, or food service experience is helpful but not required.
- $17.00 per hour
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 10:00 AM–2:30 PM daytime hours
- Temp-to-hire opportunity
