NX Open Developer / NX Customization Consultant (Remote with less than 20% travel)

We are seeking an experienced NX Open Developer / NX Technical Consultant to support enterprise Siemens NX and Teamcenter environments. This role will focus on NX customization, automation, integration, and engineering process optimization. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in one or more of the technical areas listed below.

What We're Looking For
Candidates should have hands-on experience in at least one (1) of the following areas, with stronger consideration given to individuals possessing experience across multiple disciplines.

1. NX Open API Development & NX Configuration

• Develop custom NX applications and automation tools using NX Open APIs (C# / .NET Framework).
• Build drawing title block automation, BOM extraction tools, part list generators, and custom NX user interfaces.
• Create and maintain Block Styler and BlockUI applications.
• Configure NX environments, Customer Defaults, PAX files, Resource Bars, and role-based menus.
• Convert NX journals and recorded macros into enterprise-grade solutions.

2. NX-Teamcenter Integration & Configuration

• Configure and support NX Manager / Teamcenter Integration (TCIN).
• Manage attribute mappings, dataset definitions, site files, and NX preferences.
• Support NX deployment strategies across 2-tier and 4-tier Teamcenter environments.
• Maintain enterprise NX installations and rollout configurations.
• Configure and update NX templates and Teamcenter-managed drawing standards.

3. NX Checkmate & Knowledge Fusion Development

• Design and maintain custom Checkmate validation rules.
• Develop Knowledge Fusion (KF) and DFA-based engineering compliance checks.
• Implement automated validation for geometry, drafting, PMI, and attribute standards.
• Integrate Checkmate processes into Teamcenter workflows and release gates.
• Deploy and manage custom checker libraries and HD3D reporting.

4. NX CAM Configuration & Manufacturing Solutions

• Configure NX CAM environments and manufacturing templates.
• Develop and maintain CAM setup templates, machine kits, and tool libraries.
• Support MENCMachining item types and Teamcenter CAM integrations.
• Configure post processors and Manufacturing Resource Management (MRM) assets.
• Troubleshoot CAM template deployment and manufacturing environment issues.

5. NX & Teamcenter Troubleshooting / Production Support

• Diagnose and resolve NX and Teamcenter integration issues.
• Analyze NX syslogs and system diagnostics.
• Troubleshoot FMS/FCC, TCIN, startup, and deployment-related incidents.
• Support enterprise production environments across multiple NX releases.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide long-term corrective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Siemens NX administration and customization experience.
• Teamcenter integration and deployment experience.
• C# and .NET development background.
• Experience supporting enterprise engineering environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.
