About the Position

Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required; First-timers accepted License: Pending State License accepted; Must obtain prior to starting Certifications: ARRT required, BLS required Must-Have: Call required 1-2 nights a week and every 6th weekend Description: This position requires an Interventional Radiology Technologist to work in a dynamic environment. The technologist will assist the Interventional Radiologist in performing Interventional Radiology procedures with accuracy and professionalism. Responsibilities include handling confidential information and working collaboratively with patients, families, and other departments. The role demands motivation to showcase teamwork, professionalism, respect, compassion, and kindness. The technologist will perform a range of procedures including but not limited to: - Uterine Fibroid Embolizations - Transarterial Chemoembolization - Y-90 - Abdominal Embolization - Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt - Venography - Portacath Placement - Epidural Injections - Lumbar Puncture - Myelograms - Joint Injections - Abscess Drain Placement - Tube Changes - Percutaneous Nephrostomy Tube Placement - Kyphoplasty - Paracentesis - Thoracentesis - Cryoablations - Bone Marrow Biopsy Recent experience in specific charting systems is preferred. The role requires adherence to attendance policies, and all requested time off must be submitted upon application. Testing, including a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Moderate Sedation Test, will occur on the first day of orientation. Candidates must be ready to engage in the lab shortly after signing. Modules are not required for this position.
