About the Role Johns Hopkins Community Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide high‑quality care to patients at our Annapolis/Edgewater Family/Internal Medicine practice. The Medical Assistant administers medications and immunizations, obtains vital signs, maintains inventory of appropriate supplies, and ensures safe and efficient patient flow. Responsibilities Administer medications and immunizations to patients. Obtain and record vital signs. Maintain inventory of medical supplies. Ensure safe and efficient patient flow throughout the practice. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Training Program preferred. Certified Medical Assistant required – successful completion of the AAMA, RMA/AMT, NCRMA (NAHP), NCMA (NCCT), RCMAS (NCMA), CCMA (NHA) or RMA (American Medical Technologists) exam within 3 months of hire. Five or more years of specific applicable MA experience in primary medical care may substitute formal training if eligible for the RMA exam. Valid CPR certification required upon hire and recertification every two years. Two years’ experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
