By combining deep industry expertise with proven project delivery processes, Anova provides project management, construction management, scheduling, cost controls, commissioning oversight, and owner's representative services that help clients achieve successful project outcomes.The Senior MEP Project Manager is responsible for leading the full lifecycle management of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across large-scale commercial construction projects. This role serves as the primary MEP authority at the project leadership level, driving strategic coordination between owners, design consultants, and trade partners to ensure systems are delivered on time, within budget, and in full alignment with technical specifications, codes, and client expectations.This position operates primarily at the project management level — owning MEP scope, budget, schedule, and risk — and partners closely with field supervision, design teams, and executive leadership to ensure successful project outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Lead end-to-end MEP project management across all phases — preconstruction, construction, and closeout — for complex commercial projectsOwn MEP budgets, cost forecasting, change order management, and schedule oversight; proactively identify and mitigate risks to project financial performanceDrive MEP subcontractor procurement, contract negotiation, scope development, and ongoing performance managementServe as the senior MEP point of contact for owners, architects, and engineers, leading technical meetings and facilitating design resolution at a project leadership levelReview and approve scopes of work, submittals, RFIs, design changes, and construction documents for technical compliance, constructability, and budget impactLead MEP coordination efforts across disciplines, ensuring BIM/clash detection workflows and design intent are maintained throughout constructionOversee commissioning planning and execution, ensuring all MEP systems are tested, balanced, and handed over in accordance with contract requirementsManage project documentation and reporting — including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and commissioning records — ensuring accuracy and timely communication to stakeholdersProvide regular MEP status reporting, risk analysis, and performance updates to project executives and ownership groupsMentor and provide technical guidance to Field MEP Managers, junior MEP staff and project engineersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Construction Engineering, or related field required; P.E. or relevant certifications (LEED, CxA, PMP) a plus10+ years of progressive experience managing MEP systems on large-scale commercial construction projects, with a demonstrated track record at the senior project management levelDeep technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building controls systems, with the ability to lead design and coordination discussions at the project leadership levelProven experience managing MEP budgets, subcontractor contracts, and multidisciplinary project teamsStrong proficiency with construction management platforms (Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with BIM coordination tools (Navisworks, Revit) preferredExceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of a projectAbility to manage multiple complex projects or teams simultaneously and perform effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk managementCommitment to safety, quality, and delivering an exceptional client experienceAt Anova, We Offer:Medical, dental, and vision benefitsHSA/Medical Savings with employer contributionEmployee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) + 401(k) matchGenerous PTO and paid holidaysParental leave and wellness benefitsCompany-sponsored events and additional voluntary benefitsNotice to Recruiters and Agencies:Anova prefers to recruit candidates directly, rather than through a third party recruiter or agency.
