The Assistant Department Manager may also support the department with administrative processes and assisting customers with sales and inquiries.What You'll Do:Respond to basic and more complex customer questions concerning product in all areas. Resolve a variety of customer service issues, make recommendations for substitutions, and process sales transactions.Manage department inventory through cycle counts and identification of demand changes to ensure a proper product mix at all timesPerform administrative functions for the department, including but not limited to: product receiving, purchase orders (P.O.'s), product transfers and defective goods dispositionCreate a positive environment for associates which encourages teamwork in alignment with SiteOne DNACoach and assist less experienced staff in meeting expected customer service and satisfaction goalsPartner with branch leadership to understand and implement new technologies and ways of working to help positively impact business performanceSkills We Are Seeking1 to 3 years of experience in retail, preferably in the irrigation, nursery, or landscape supply industryKnowledge of nursery, irrigation, and landscape products and practicesReady and willing to learn and adopt new technologies and ways of workingSkills in managing product inventoryHigh school diploma or equivalentCompensation & BenefitsSiteOne offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support the well-being of our associates.
