This contract role offers the chance to engage with the K-12 student population, working collaboratively with educators and families to help students achieve their fullest potential. Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with valid certification in the state.
- Prior experience in a school environment is highly valued.
- Comfortable working with K-12 students across diverse backgrounds and needs.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to maintain effective relationships with staff, families, and students.
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students according to their IEP goals.
- Conduct assessments and create comprehensive reports for students’ access to educational programming.
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines.
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights on student progress and program modifications.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation as required by school policies and special education guidelines.
- Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering training and support for classroom adaptations.
