Hybrid - On Site and Telework (Must live in Austin TX area)

I. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports. Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program. Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system. Contractor will support the State Health Analytics Reporting Platform (SHARP) by creating data pipelines, dashboards and reports using Informatica IICS, Tableau or PowerBI as determined by the business requirements. Contractor will translate business requirements into data pipelines and Tableau/PowerBI reports, and work with the program staff to ensure it meets the needs of the customer. Contractor will participate in testing of pipelines, reports and dashboards to ensure proper function, and work with coworkers to publish and promote the reports as needed. Experience with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred.

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements: 8+ years creating dashboards or reports using Tableau / PowerBI or similar tools. (Required) 8+ years Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) and data management experience using Informatica. (Required) 4+ years working with very large-scale data sets in Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar. Snowflake experience strongly preferred. (Preferred) 4+ years experience with data analysis. (Preferred) 2+ years experience working with Informatica ETL tools strongly preferred. (Preferred) 2+ years working with Tableau creating dashboards and reports. (Preferred) 2+ years working with PowerBI creating dashboards and reports. (Preferred) Note: Expected Start Date 04/13/2026 and Expected End Date 08/31/2026 . May be renewed up to 3 years. This position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework . Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA (Within 50-mile radius). Position will be 2 days remote with 3 days (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays) required to be on-site Austin, TX 78751 . Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM , excluding State holidays when the agency is closed.
