What You'll Do The Accounts Receivable Clerk II is responsible for preparing and processing claims and invoices for the business unit; pursue collection of all claims until payment is received. This position maintains the business units and client financial records, and performs other work associated with the billing process.
- Manage client accounts; prepare accurate invoices and statements, claim generation and submission, collection and posting of payments.
- Identify and resolve patient billing questions and issues.
- Use assertive follow-up techniques with payers, providing information, corrections and problem resolution.
- Post payments and adjustments to ensure accurate balances.
- Reconcile insurance remittances and payments, research claim denials and generate claims corrections.
- Provide accurate billing reports to management and administrative staff.
- Responsible for the timely submission of all patient billings to payers.
- Correct and resubmit billing denials and errors to payers and Accounting department.
- Identify and resolve any trends for non-payment of claims, communicating all issues to the Accounting Supervisor and the Business Unit Director.
- Identify and resolve all credit balances or refunds.
- Completes month end process to Accounting in a timely manner.
- Participate in education activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring (Required Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two years' experience in customer service capacity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Preferably You'll Bring (Preferred/Desirable Qualifications):
- Two year associate degree in a related field
