Step into a dynamic role supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade by serving as a School Psychologist in a district-based position. This contract opportunity focuses exclusively on evaluations, allowing you to make a significant impact without the daily demands typically associated with building-based roles. Based at the district office, you’ll provide expertise and guidance through assessments and transitions, ensuring students have the resources they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement (pending licensure accepted for travel professionals)
• Demonstrated experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations
• Sound understanding of MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports) and Early Intervention transitions
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and agency partners

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead and facilitate domain meetings for student assessments
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for a manageable caseload (averaging 63 annually)
• Oversee Early Intervention transition processes, including conducting TPBA (Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments)
• Attend MTSS referral meetings for individual student support, as needed
• Focus exclusively on evaluations and referrals—direct involvement in daily student or staff issues is not required
• Report to the district office; minimal travel to school sites

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, starting at 7:45 AM and concluding at 3:30 PM, allowing you to maintain balance while supporting student success across the district.
