Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Renal Medical-Surgical – Georgia

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Schedule: 12-hour shifts with every other weekend rotation; patient ratio 1:5-6; average daily census of 48 patients in a 49-bed unit; no on-call requirements

Highlights:

• Renal Medical-Surgical specialty unit serving adult to geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR system with Pyxis medication management and SBAR protocols
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, lift teams, and rapid response teams
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract period; orientation provided with schedule determined by contract length
• First-time travelers accepted; charge nursing experience strongly preferred
• Full compliance required prior to start date; Georgia or Compact RN license accepted

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Georgia or Compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; charge experience preferred
• Current BLS certification required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
• Proficiency in renal medical-surgical nursing skills including pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, central line management, telemetry monitoring, wound care, insulin administration, and blood product administration
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
