They will be equipped to take ownership of their health and to contribute to the wellness of their communities throughout their lives.The Opportunity:The Health, Physical Education, and Wellness (H/PE) Department seeks a passionate and skilled Adaptive Physical Education Teacher to join our team. This position reports to both the Coordinator of Health and Physical Education and the building principal or Upper School Head. The Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Teacher will deliver instruction aligned with the Adapted Physical Education National Standards (APENS), SHAPE America National Physical Education Standards, and the Massachusetts Comprehensive Health Curriculum Framework. This teacher will apply department-approved strategies to support the physical skill development of students with disabilities and will provide specially designed instruction in both inclusive and separate physical education settings.
