Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Rotating Shifts Possible | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage high-acuity patient diagnoses including respiratory distress/failure, renal failure, trauma, CRRT, ECMO, heme/oncology, multi-system organ failure, and suicide attempts
• Operate and monitor ventilators and inotropic drips; must be able to manage up to 2 intubated patients when operationally necessary
• Float to NICU as required ; may also float to Peds ED for admitted patient assignments when patients are holding
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner electronic health records
• Participate in rotating shift schedules; weekend availability expected (4 weekend shifts per schedule for day shift)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in New Mexico (pending license accepted at time of submission)
• BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• PALS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of PICU or relevant experience
• Flu shot required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with CRRT and ECMO procedures
• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators and working knowledge of inotropic drips
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Interest in cross-training to Peds ED patient assignments (optional)
