Fleet Mechanic - Night Shift

Responsibilities Help maintain and repair class 8 trucks, trailers. Including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding May perform service repairs in the field May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks and trailers Complete all paperwork that may be necessary Must have own basic hand tools; Knife River does provide job specific, any large tooling needed and has a replacement policy Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed Other duties assigned as needed Hours 9:00 pm - 6:00 am (Later start / finish time available) Sunday-Thursday or Monday- Friday available Minimum Qualifications Previous Mechanical experience on class 8 trucks and trailers Strong trouble shooting skills Welding and fabrication experience desirable Ability to pass a pre‑employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team members Benefits Full‑time employees are eligible for the following benefits: Health and Flexible spending accounts 401K With Company Match Profit Sharing 8Paid Holidays Paid Time off Life Insurance Employee Assistance Program Safety Incentives Years Of service Recognition Veterans At Knife River, we are committed to helping our military transition to civilian life.
