Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in evaluating and assessing patient conditions in a friendly and respectful manner, conducting initial screenings as needed.

• Instruct patients in therapeutic exercises, providing supervision and encouragement while ensuring that they perform movements safely and effectively.
• Employ diverse modalities, including heat therapy, cryotherapy, and electrical stimulation, to alleviate pain and promote functional recovery while monitoring patient comfort.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise techniques and self-management strategies, fostering an environment of support and understanding.
• Monitor and document treatment progress meticulously, utilizing patient management software to maintain detailed and accurate treatment records.
• Actively participate in clinical team meetings to discuss patient progress, treatment outcomes, and any necessary adjustments to therapy plans.
• Stay informed about advancements in physical therapy practices and incorporate new techniques into patient care as appropriate.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited institution.

Compensation and Benefits
