Experienced Associate, Transaction Opinions & Board Advisory

Duties & Responsibilities Lincoln International is seeking an Associate to join the Transaction Opinions & Board Advisory team within the Valuations & Opinions Group. The role focuses on building and delivering transaction opinions and advisory services across M&A, restructuring, recapitalization, spin‑offs, and board or special committee advisory engagements for public and private clients, including private equity firms. Prepare, complete, and review financial models and sophisticated valuation and financial analyses for fairness and solvency opinions (e.g., discounted cash flow, comparable company and precedent transaction analyses, and three‑statement modeling). Take primary ownership of the development and review of board‑level presentations and reports. Coordinate engagement execution, timelines, and oversight of analysts under the guidance of senior deal team members. Review information, track open items across active engagements, and prepare diligence agendas to support in‑process valuations and analyses. Coordinate with clients and, at times, lead diligence efforts or information gathering processes. Prepare marketing materials for meetings with potential or existing clients and support senior members of the Transaction Opinions & Board Advisory team. Qualifications Excellent analytical foundation with advanced understanding of financial statements and various valuation methodologies (DCF, LBO, comparable company analysis, etc.). Advanced financial modeling and Microsoft Excel skills. Strong writing skills and experience with PowerPoint and Microsoft Word. Effective organizational skills and aptitude to manage people and work products. Strong communication skills and experience interacting with teammates and clients. Three to five years of professional experience in the financial services industry such as investment banking or valuations is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics from a top‑tier institution; strong academic record (undergraduate and graduate). Active CPA and/or minimum of CFA Level I is preferred, but not required. Additional Information Salary range: $150,000 to $200,000 per year (applicable for positions in Georgia, Texas, Illinois, New York or California). This range is provided in good faith and may be modified; additional pay may be eligible for discretionary bonus. The position does not require or provide visa sponsorship.
