Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:
The Cath Lab Tech conducts diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, supporting physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment. The role involves monitoring patient hemodynamics, preparing equipment, and ensuring procedural accuracy to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care.

Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced cardiac and peripheral vascular procedures, including stent placements, catheterizations, and angioplasties.
• Set up and operate high-technology equipment, maintaining sterile fields and ensuring proper functionality.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamics throughout procedures, recognizing and responding to arrhythmias and emergencies.
• Assist physicians by scrubbing in procedures, managing supplies, and preparing access sites.
• Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, equipment maintenance, and patient data in the EMR system.
• Adhere to safety protocols and isolation precautions, supporting rapid response efforts when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid ARRT registration and WV Medical Imaging License (or pending application).
• 1.5-2 years of experience in diagnostic radiology or Cath Lab settings.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through AHA.
• State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist and relevant certified healthcare professional.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Siemens equipment and vascular procedures.
• Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and vascular closure systems.
