Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active IN or Compact license and prior telemetry experience.

Details

• Work in the MS/Tele unit of a hospital setting (2E overflow)
• Care for medical-surgical and telemetry patients with a 1:5 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Cerner charting system experience required
• 100% floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• May be asked to take on charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with training provided

Requirements

• Active IN or Compact RN license required in hand at time of start
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cerner charting experience required
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• 2 supervisor references required

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care, including monitoring and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Skilled care may include IV therapy, wound care, respiratory management, and management of neurological, renal, and GI conditions
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; RTO is not accommodated for Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving, or Christmas
• Non-holiday RTO of 5 days or less can be auto-approved
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are not accepted for this position
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Prior perm or PRN employees of the health system must be away for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within the health system must take a designated break to reset eligibility
