Infrastructure Project Manager I

Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated projects to insure that goals or objectives are accomplished in accordance with prescribed priorities, time limitation, and funding conditions. Infrastructure Project Managers insure effective and efficient management of the project consistent with an established project management cycle and compliance with department guidelines, procedures, and systems; and related work as required.

The Infrastructure Project Manager I is the professional intermediate level class in the series, working with considerable independence and discretion and may also be assigned to serve as an assistant project manager on large, complex construction or technical implementation projects, or solely manages limited-scope and duration projects with lower to mid-range budgets.

Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, environmental science, information technology, geology, chemistry, biology or related field, or a master's degree in urban planning, public administration, business administration or a related field, and two years of professional construction or technical project management related experience.
