The IT Desktop Support Technician role is 12 Months Contract with a client that is in Robinson, IL (Onsite) . We’re ideally looking for applicants to have a solid background in the same skills as you. Pay Range: $25-$28/hour on W2; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. · Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician · Duration: 12 Months Contract with possible extension Position Description: IT Desktop Support Technician to support end users at the Robinson Refinery. This individual will operate the site's Tech Café, provide walk-up support, manage service tickets, support collaboration technologies, and serve as the primary face of IT for plant personnel. The ideal candidate possesses a strong IT foundation, excellent customer service skills, and a high degree of accountability and professionalism. Top Requirements Strong foundational IT knowledge; candidates with 1-3 years of experience preferred, but recent graduates with solid technical aptitude will be considered. Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a walk-up support environment. Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Experience with ticket management and desktop support processes. Knowledge of mobile device support including iPhones and iPads. Highly motivated, dependable, accountable, and comfortable working directly with end users. Key Responsibilities Operate and manage the refinery Tech Café (walk-up IT support desk). Resolve desktop, software, hardware, and end-user technical issues. Manage and close incident and service request tickets. Support Microsoft Teams Rooms and conference room technology. Configure and support mobile devices including iPhones and iPads. Troubleshoot Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications. Deliver exceptional customer service to refinery employees and contractors. Maintain a professional presence as the first point of contact for IT support. Preferred Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Experience supporting enterprise environments. Exposure to Active Directory, account administration, and endpoint support. Familiarity with service management/ticketing tools.
