Laboratory Assistant II

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Assistant II for the Microbiology team in Indianapolis. The role involves specimen handling, reagent preparation, quality control support, and equipment maintenance within a microbiology laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive, process, and properly store specimens and reagents per department protocols
• Prepare and label quality control materials and maintain accurate records
• Support testing personnel by preparing samples for analysis
• Perform equipment maintenance and pipette calibrations as needed
• Assist with training new staff and maintain clean, organized work environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One year of laboratory assistant experience
• Proficiency with computer systems and laboratory software
• Working knowledge of specimen receipt, transfer, and storage procedures
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
