Store ManagerWill work between locations when needed.CompensationStarting Pay Range: $21.00-$24.00 HourlyThe Store Manager oversees the daily operations of one or more self-storage locations with limited direct supervision. This role ensures the facility meets high cleanliness standards, maintains financial accuracy through effective reporting and controls, and consistently delivers operational excellence. The Store Managers are accountable for building customer relationships through in-person and phone interactions, presenting a structured sales process, and managing customer accounts.Extra Space Storage is the largest self-storage company in the United States by store count, with over 4,000 stores nationwide. We look for leaders who are responsible, passionate, and innovative as they take charge of day-to-day operations at our beautiful self-storage facilities.Benefits We Offer YouA work/life balance that includes daytime hours with the potential for Sundays off (dependent on location)Outstanding company culture with growth opportunities throughout the U.S.Competitive starting pay.Paid Time Off accrued throughout the year, increasing with years of serviceGenerous 401(k) match with Traditional and/or ROTH choices.Affordable medical benefit options with up to a $1k annual Health Savings Account employer contribution.EXTRA Healthy Wellness Program with rewards towards your medical premium.BenefitHub discounts: apparel, auto, electronics, entertainment, pets, travel, etc.Your ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain strong customer relationships by identifying storage needs and providing tailored solutions.Maximize sales objectives through unit rentals, unit insurance, and moving supplies.Ensure our highest standards of cleanliness are met through continuous maintenance (e.g., sweeping, mopping, grounds maintenance, etc.) of the site, including the office, and the interior and exteriors of the storage building and surrounding areas.Perform daily site safety inspections, including lock checks.Address and resolve customer concerns related to billing, security, auctions, and proper site usageHandle cash transactions, balance receipts, follow up on delinquent payments, process customer payments, and complete daily bank deposits.Oversee routine administrative tasks, including maintaining auction files, following up on delinquent accounts, monitoring store budgets, and prepare and deliver bank deposits.Protect our strong company culture by establishing and maintaining professional relationships with all Extra Space employees.Perform additional duties as assigned.Your Qualifications2+ years of customer-facing work experience.Leadership experience preferred but not required.Sale experience preferred.Current valid driver's license and access to a reliable personal vehicle is necessary for daily bank deposits and travel to other sites as needed, except in New York City and Brooklyn.High School diploma or GED is required; college education is a plus.Work Environment & Physical RequirementsPerform indoor and outdoor job responsibilities ranging from sedentary desk work to physical job duties with varying physical demands and exposure to seasonal weather conditions.Regular tasks include standing, walking, climbing stairs, bending, sitting, and lifting.Regularly required to lift or move items up to 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.If you are a current Extra Space employee, please apply through Jobs Hub in Workday.We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
