Registered Nurse - Pacu Germantown, MD

Pay From: $45 per hour

MUST:

• Experienced Registered Nurse 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• 2+ years of experience working in the PreOp/Recovery
• 2+ years of experience working within the medical-surgical specialty
• Ability to push/pull patients on stretcher and assist in patient lifting
• Active Registered Nurse licensure in state of Maryland
• Active BLS and ACLS certification
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (eClinicalWorks preferred)
• BSN required

DUTIES:

• Identifies patient care requirements throughout the office/procedure experience
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing support to patients and families
• Admits and considerately prepares patients for procedures
• Assists in preparation of the procedure room, equipment, and procedure supplies
• Prepares required patient medications for the procedure
• Consults effectively with physician and team members about patient variables
• Monitors and administers sedation/medications, as directed by physician
• Continuously monitors and assesses patients, adjusting patient care accordingly
• Responds and reacts appropriately to any emergency care needs of patient
• Provides preoperative/recovery care and education to patient
• Monitors and maintains adequate clinical supplies, based on patient load
• Other duties as assigned
