About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Systems Operations Engineer to join the Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology (CCIBT) organization. This role functions as a Business Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with enterprise-level influence, driving strategic initiatives across infrastructure platforms. The Senior Lead will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, shaping the reliability strategy, architecture, and operating model for infrastructure platforms supporting business-critical applications.Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.comIn this role, you will:Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high-level systems consultation for the technology teamsWork as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional areaReview and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systemsMake decisions on technical changes and enhancementsConsult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiativesCollaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goalsKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement enterprise-wide reliability engineering frameworksLead strategic planning for infrastructure operations, migrations, and hybrid cloud adoptionArchitect automation solutions for operational tasks and platform resilience.Establish governance for observability, telemetry, and incident management practicesPartner with leadership to define long-term reliability goals and KPIsRequired Qualifications:7+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Infrastructure domains, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience managing production support3+ years of experience in production support or operations engineering5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Infrastructure Operations, or related domainsDesired Qualifications:Deep understanding of SRE principles and practicesExperience with enterprise monitoring and observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)Expertise in automation toolsStrong technical expertise, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsJob Expectations:Hybrid work schedule with on-site presence as neededParticipation in on-call support and incident response activitiesLocation Posting:194 Wood Ave S, Iselin, NJ 08830300 S Brevard St, Charlotte, NC 28202Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
