CareMore Health – Medical Assistant Lead About the Role The Medical Assistant Lead provides clinical and administrative leadership to non-physician clinical staff within a CareMore Health care center. This role ensures compliance with established workflows, policies, and procedures while supporting efficient daily operations and high-quality patient care. The Medical Assistant Lead serves as a working lead, balancing oversight responsibilities with direct patient care and operational support. This role partners closely with practice leadership to ensure seamless front and back office coordination, optimal patient flow, and adherence to clinical and administrative standards. How will you make an impact & Requirements Primary Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to Medical Assistants and non-physician clinical staff. Support both front and back office operations to ensure efficient workflow and patient throughput. Oversee patient check-in preparation by ensuring charts are prepared, medical records are accurate and current, and required documentation is complete. Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record visit information accurately. Explain procedures, perform treatments within scope of practice, and administer prescribed medications as authorized. Ensure scheduling accuracy, confirm patient appointments, and support follow-up visit coordination. Collect co-payments and ensure appropriate documentation and paperwork completion. Reconcile co-payments daily in accordance with financial procedures. Monitor compliance with clinical workflows, documentation standards, and operational policies. Participate in the hiring process, onboarding, and training of new associates. Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to promote performance, engagement, and accountability. Conduct and/or support monthly staff meetings to reinforce policies, updates, and best practices. Escalate operational or compliance concerns to practice leadership as appropriate. Ensures coordination between front and back office operations. Supports appointment confirmation and follow-up processes. Promotes consistency in workflows and process adherence. Professionalism & Confidentiality Maintains professionalism in all patient and staff interactions. Demonstrates accountability, integrity, and sound judgment. Protects patient and employee confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Serves as a role model for workplace conduct and ethical standards. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of related experience in a physician office or healthcare setting. Current and valid Medical Assistant certificate / certification from an accredited training program required. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required depending on location or patient population. Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required. Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test is required. Compensation Range Compensation Range: $24.20 to $36.30 The anticipated base salary range represents the Company's good-faith estimate of the compensation it reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of posting.
