The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring vendor invoices are accurately processed, payments are made on time, and financial records are maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards. This role works closely with vendors, internal departments, and the accounting team to resolve discrepancies, maintain accurate records, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, review, code, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices with purchase orders, receiving documents, and other supporting documentation.
• Verify invoice details, payment terms, approvals, and general ledger account coding.
• Prepare and process vendor payments through checks, ACH transfers, wire transfers, and other approved methods.
• Ensure invoices are paid according to established payment terms and company policies.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and prioritize payments based on due dates and cash flow requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Two or more years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting preferred.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and accounts payable procedures.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems, such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently as well as collaboratively.
