Boutique Director - Luxury Womens RTW Brand

Mode Search is partnering with a women's luxury fashion brand to appoint a Boutique Director for its flagship new New York location. This leadership role is responsible for driving commercial success, delivering an exceptional client experience, developing a high-performing team, and ensuring operational excellence across the boutique. This is a full-time, on-site position based in SoHo, New York City. Reporting into senior leadership, the Boutique Director will oversee this new launch, work closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, e-commerce, and operations, while maintaining full accountability for the performance and day-to-day management of the store. This role will require a start date in September or October. The Role Lead all aspects of boutique performance, ensuring sales targets and business objectives are achieved. Analyse trading results, identify opportunities for growth, and implement strategies to maximise revenue. Drive client acquisition, retention, and relationship-building initiatives across the team. Recruit, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team through coaching, training, and performance management. Create a positive and accountable team culture focused on service excellence and commercial results. Lead from the shop floor, setting the standard for customer engagement and sales performance. Build and maintain relationships with VIP clients and support the team in growing their client books. Deliver an elevated customer experience, ensuring consistent service standards throughout the client journey. Partner with internal teams to support inventory management, product presentation, and trading opportunities. Oversee all operational aspects of the business, including reporting, cash management, stock control, and compliance. Ensure the boutique environment reflects the highest standards of presentation and execution. Support local business development initiatives, events, and community engagement activities. Requirements Significant senior management experience within luxury fashion retail. Proven track record of delivering sales growth and leading successful retail teams. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop talent. Excellent clienteling and relationship-building capabilities. Commercially minded with strong analytical and decision-making skills. Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Passion for fashion, retail, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
