Qualificat ions:Educa tion:Graduate of accredited school of nu rsingLicenses/Certificat ion: Licensed as a RN preferred, LPN minimum standard in state empl oyed.Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applic able.One to two years of experience in admissions in long term care indu stry.Job Funct ions:Provide pre-admission patient clinical assessm ents.Personalized visitations are conducted routinely to primary referral sources and interested par ties.Routinely work with hospital discharge planners, social workers and physicians on admission pro cess.Visit existing patients in the hosp ital.Brochures and facility information are routinely created and distrib uted.Market facility to expand referral sources and market area.Perform community outreach to healthcare professionals and community groups to network and generate referrals/admiss ions.Plan and coordinate functions to invite referral sources to facility-works with facility Marketing Direc tors.Plan and coordinate special events which enhance staff resident and community relat ions.Act as a liaison for quarterly joint marketing funct ions.Periodically visit competition to complete competitive analysis and update market plan.Research, analyze and evaluate new healthcare programs and events, availability in designated areas and facility use poten tial.Develop additional relationships with influential people within the senior commu nity.Coordinate with other facility staff the subsequent authorization of managed care reimbursed patients as requ ired.Communicate with insurance personnel in a timely manner to ensure that adequate reimbursement can be obtained prior to initiation of serv ices.Performs other tasks as assi gned.Knowledge/Skills/Abilit ies: Skilled in motivation of staff and leader ship.Skilled in work assess ment.Effective communication skills with residents, their family members, and at all levels of the organiza tion.Ability to work with a culturally diverse resident and employee popula tion.Knowledge of state and federal requirements for accreditation and certifica tion.Possesses basic computer sk ills.
