Senior Pricing Analyst

This is a hybrid role based out of Cuyahoga Falls OH/approx 45 minutes south of Cleveland. PLEASE NOTE - We do not support employment based visa sponsorship to include OPT. Position Summary The Senior Pricing Analyst plays a key role in driving commercial decision-making and business performance through advanced analytics, financial modeling, and cross-functional collaboration. This position partners closely with Sales, Finance, Product Management, Operations, IT, and executive leadership to develop data-driven pricing recommendations that support profitable growth and strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, independent professional with exceptional business acumen, strong project management fundamentals, and advanced analytical capabilities. This individual will help lead strategic pricing initiatives, own pricing performance reporting and KPIs, support Deal Desk and Bid Desk activities, manage annual pricing initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through technology, automation, and emerging AI capabilities. Key Responsibilities Strategic Pricing & Commercial Analytics Support pricing strategies by building financial models and providing data-driven recommendations that support profitable growth and long-term business objectives. Perform customer, product, channel, and competitive pricing analyses to identify risks and opportunities. Evaluate pricing performance through margin analysis, price realization, customer segmentation, and market intelligence. Develop scenario models and pricing recommendations to support strategic business decisions. Pricing Performance & KPI Management Own the development, maintenance, and monthly reporting of Pricing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for leadership. Build dashboards and executive scorecards measuring pricing effectiveness, price realization, margin performance, annual price increase performance, Deal Desk and Bid Desk performance, SLA adherence, pricing compliance, and other commercial metrics. Analyze KPI trends and proactively identify opportunities, risks, and actionable recommendations to improve pricing performance. Continuously improve pricing metrics and reporting capabilities to support business decision-making. Support Deal Desk and Bid Desk processes through profitability modeling, pricing recommendations, and commercial analysis. Evaluate customer pricing requests, strategic bids, and pricing exceptions while balancing competitiveness and profitability. Partner with Sales leadership to ensure pricing decisions align with business strategy and financial objectives. Annual Price Increase Management Help lead analytical support for annual and strategic price increase initiatives. Develop pricing models, customer impact analyses, implementation plans, and post-implementation performance reporting. Identify opportunities to improve pricing realization and execution throughout the pricing lifecycle. Help lead and support cross-functional pricing initiatives from concept through implementation. Apply project management fundamentals to organize workstreams, manage timelines, identify risks, and communicate project status. Partner with IT, Product Management, Sales, Finance, and Operations on pricing system enhancements, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects. Data Analytics & Reporting Develop and maintain advanced Excel models, Power BI dashboards, and analytical reporting tools. Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, pricing opportunities, customer insights, and operational improvements. Respond to executive and business partner ad hoc requests with timely, accurate, and actionable analysis. Translate complex analytical findings into clear business recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences. Process Improvement & Innovation Identify opportunities to streamline pricing processes through automation, technology, and best practices. Leverage pricing software, business intelligence tools, AI, and advanced analytics to improve pricing effectiveness and operational efficiency. Recommend scalable solutions that improve pricing accuracy, reporting capabilities, and business decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration Build strong partnerships across Sales, Finance, Product Management, Customer Service, Operations, and IT. Serve as a trusted business partner by providing strategic pricing guidance and analytical expertise. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, including executive leadership. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 4 to 6 years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Analytics, Revenue Management, Finance, or a related analytical role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, Power Query, Pivot Tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis. Experience building executive dashboards, pricing KPIs, scorecards, and performance reporting. Strong financial modeling, analytical reasoning, and quantitative problem-solving skills. Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to balance commercial strategy and financial performance. Experience supporting Deal Desk, Bid Desk, pricing governance, or commercial pricing processes preferred. Experience leading cross-functional projects and managing multiple priorities independently. Experience with Power BI, SQL, pricing software (Paradigm CPQ,), or business intelligence platforms preferred. Familiarity with AI tools, predictive analytics, automation technologies, or machine learning applications is considered a strong advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting to executive leadership. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing initiatives in a fast-paced environment. Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
