Full time 100% (based on 260 days, 8 hours per day) Regular N/A SUMMARY: Maintain a comfort level in the buildings and assure the health and safety of district staff, students, and visitors to the district. Using careful preventive maintenance measures to obtain the best indoor air quality and safe equipment. Starting rate of pay is $29.76 per hour benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implements district inventory and ordering of air filters.
• Respond to emergency calls, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Maintain, service and repair all district exhaust fans.
• Maintain, service and repair all district motors and pumps.
• Maintain, service and repair all district air handlers.
• Maintain, service and repair all district unit ventilators.
• Maintain, service and repair all district hot water piping.
• Maintain, service and repair all district boilers.
• Maintain, service and repair all district compressors.
• Manage district's HVAC preventative maintenance.
• Maintain, service and repair all district gas fired furnaces.
• Maintain, service and repair all district dust collectors.
• Maintain, service and repair all district kitchen equipment.
• Coordinate and implement freeze protection on all boilers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITY:

• Basic math and writing skills.
• Basic knowledge of complex mechanical systems.
• Ability to comprehend drawings and technical specifications.

Supervision/Technical Responsibility

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent, plus specialized courses in HVAC.

EXPERIENCE:

Four years' experience in HVAC apprenticeship trade program and on the 5th year become a journeyman.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:

Colorado Driver's License and CFC License required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; outdoor weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; extreme cold and extreme heat. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
