Exercise Specialist

Shift: PRN(As needed, 24 hours a month minimum.)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for exercise prescription and progression of patients in program Responsible for safe exercise programming Assist with evaluation and discharge of patients Assist with patient education.
• Reviews patient health history and adjusts initial exercise prescription/plan.
• Collects initial preprogram outcomes information.
• Enters patient information into LSI monitoring system.
• Interviews patient for progress toward initial exercise goals.
• Makes appropriate exercise recommendations to referring MD.
• Updates weekly exercise prescription and progresses patient at appropriate pace.

Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in exercise science, Human performance, or equivalent. Master's degree preferred.


Experience : Previous experience in rehab setting, internship, or clinical setting preferred.


License(s)/Certification(s): Must maintain current CPR Certification. CCRP, CEP, ACSM exercise specialist preferred. ACLS certification
