Registered Nurse (RN) - Special Care Nursery Level 2We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Special Care Nursery Level 2 to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality care to neonates, including full-term, early-term, and pre-term infants.Unit InformationUnit Type: Special Care Level 2 NurseryNumber of Beds: 8Patient Ratios: 1:2 to 1:3Electronic Health Record (EHR): Meditech/GE CentricityResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive nursing care to infants in a Special Care Nursery setting.Attend all deliveries and initiate and manage NRP resuscitation efforts as needed.Administer medications and treatments per physician's orders, including IV antibiotics and Bubble CPAP.Conduct assessments and monitor neonates for complications such as NAS/NOWS and TTN.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal care for patients and their families.Perform feeding through OG/NG tubes as required.QualificationsRequired Certifications: NRP, STABLE, BLSExperience: Minimum of 2 years in a Level 2 nursery or higher NICU setting.Required Skills: Must have experience in a Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher.Preferred Skills: Experience in initiating and running NRP resuscitation.Working ConditionsShift: Day Shift (7 AM - 7 PM)Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36Weekend Requirement: 2 weekend shifts per monthFloat Requirement: Possible float to Mother/Baby PostpartumDress CodeScrub Color: Royal Blue/Hospital issued OR scrubsUnacceptable Attire: No hoodies or sweatshirtsIf you are passionate about providing exceptional care to vulnerable infants and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
