Personal Care Assistant

Role: Personal Care Assistant responsible for providing in-home care to clients, following individualized care plans, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Include Assisting with basic personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulation, and feeding, including special diet needs. Utilizing equipment like walkers and wheelchairs, and assisting with transfers and mobility. Encouraging client self-help and maintaining a clean, safe environment. Completing daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets and documenting care activities. Respecting client confidentiality, privacy, and rights while providing compassionate care. Notifying supervisors of any changes in client condition, safety concerns, or potential abuse. Assisting with secondary tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and grocery shopping, only if specified in the care plan. Adhering to infection control, universal precautions, and safety procedures. Supporting self-administration of medications without direct administration. Qualifications And Skills High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required. Minimum of 6 months validated caregiving experience. Must be 18 years or older. Strong communication, observation, and safety awareness skills.
