Supply Chain Analyst

Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst on behalf of our client, a chemical solutions company located in Sumter, South Carolina. The Supply Chain Analyst will be responsible for coordinating production schedules for U.S.-made products, optimizing production line efficiency, analyzing raw material and packaging requirements, and managing inventory for traded goods. This role will also support purchasing, logistics, and other supply chain initiatives to ensure materials and products are available when needed and operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain production schedules for U.S.-made products.
• Coordinate production activities to maximize efficiency and meet operational requirements.
• Monitor production schedules and adjust plans as needed based on demand, inventory, and operational changes.
• Analyze raw material requirements to ensure adequate materials are available for production.
• Analyze packaging requirements and coordinate availability with production needs.
• Monitor inventory levels for traded goods and identify potential shortages or excess inventory.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory management activities.
• Coordinate with production, purchasing, warehouse, logistics, and other internal teams to ensure supply chain requirements are met.
• Identify potential supply chain constraints and proactively develop solutions.
• Assist with purchasing and procurement activities as needed.
• Support logistics-related activities and coordinate material and product movement.
• Utilize warehouse and inventory management software to maintain accurate supply chain information.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to production, inventory, materials, and supply chain performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve production scheduling, inventory management, and overall supply chain efficiency.
• Assist with supply chain projects, process improvements, and other initiatives as assigned.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to production and inventory activities.
• Communicate production and supply chain updates effectively with internal stakeholders.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements include: Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.

Experience:

• 4+ years of production scheduling experience required.
• Experience with inventory management preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
• Previous purchasing or procurement experience is a plus.
• Previous logistics or warehouse experience is a plus.
• Experience working with warehouse or inventory management software required.

Certifications:

• No specific certifications required.
• Supply chain, logistics, purchasing, or inventory management certifications are a plus.

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of production scheduling and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of raw material and packaging requirements.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
• Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems.
• Understanding of supply chain processes and workflows.
• Familiarity with purchasing and procurement processes preferred.
• Understanding of logistics and material movement preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
