Position: Certified Occupational Therapist - In- House - Skilled Nursing
FT, PT & PRN
Woodside Rehab & Nursing is under new management! We are now a Vierra Communities property and we are are seeking Occupational Therapist's to join our dynamic team! Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience with long-term care and /or geriatric care is preferred
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have the patience, empathy, and compassion needed to care for elderly patients
- Ability to work cooperatively with other healthcare professionals
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Proved direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation.
- Administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient’s capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician.
- Document and record the patients’ condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate physical therapy method.
- Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve daily living skills and promote overall health.
- Collaborate with physicisans, nurses,and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in patenet care meetings and contribute to team discussions on best practices and treatement outcomes.
