Patient Services Associate

Position Overview The Patient Services Associate at Student Health Services provides essential support to the Front Office and Medical Services. This role handles appointment scheduling, multi‑line phone operations, electronic health record maintenance, immunization compliance, cashiering, and customer service. Strong communication skills are required. Responsibilities Follow Patient Services policies and procedures regarding medical records, patient scheduling, maintaining the computerized appointment system, cashier duties, and related responsibilities. Facilitate communication between patients and clinical staff. Maintain confidentiality of medical information. Ensure compliance with university policies and state laws regarding immunization requirements. Required Qualifications Demonstrated entry to mid‑level administrative support and/or clerical experience with customer service, communication, and other administrative duties or an equivalent amount of education and/or experience. Demonstrated experience organizing and prioritizing multiple workloads, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of medical ethics regarding confidentiality and legal protocols. Experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment. Passion for working in college health and/or with the student population. Comfort and confidence working in a fast‑paced environment. Desired Attributes Ability to relate to and establish rapport with a college student population. Effectively coordinate and prioritize workload to meet time‑sensitive deadlines. Utilize a growth mindset when facing personal and professional development opportunities. Ability to positively respond to difficult situations with comprehensive and creative outcomes.
