Openwork is seeking an experienced Industrial Saw Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Houston. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with machinery, operating forklifts, and producing high-quality finished products in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities:

• Operate industrial saw equipment safely and efficiently.
• Review production schedules and verify material requirements.
• Use forklifts to move materials and position pallets for cutting.
• Measure, mark, and cut materials to required specifications.
• Verify dimensions, piece counts, and quality of finished products.
• Maximize material utilization while minimizing waste.
• Complete production logs and required documentation.
• Separate, sort, and dispose of scrap materials properly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality procedures.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of industrial saw, machine operator, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience operating industrial saws or similar machinery preferred.
• Forklift experience required.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Strong math, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to wear a respirator and follow all PPE requirements.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Important Safety Requirements:

• Work involves lead-based materials.
• Must wear required PPE at all times.
• Must be clean-shaven to ensure proper respirator fit.
• Daily showering after shifts is required.
• Periodic blood testing is required as part of safety compliance.
