School-based Occupational Therapist - OT

Job Summary (List Format):




- Position: Full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) in a school-based setting in Salem, Oregon
- Schedule: Five days per week, full-time for the upcoming school year
- Population: Students/children requiring occupational therapy services
- Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students using standardized assessments to determine OT needs (fine motor, sensory, visual-motor, functional skills)
- Develop and implement IEP goals and individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual and small-group therapy sessions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and interdisciplinary staff (SLPs, PTs, psychologists) to support inclusive learning environments
- Recommend and train staff on adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom/environmental modifications
- Maintain accurate documentation (evaluations, progress notes, IEP compliance) per district, state, and IDEA regulations
- Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience or fieldwork in pediatrics or school-based therapy (new graduates welcome)
- Familiarity with EMR or IEP online documentation systems
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with educational teams
- Qualifications:
- Licensed by Oregon Occupational Therapy Licensing Board (OTLB)
- Graduate from an ACOTE-accredited OT program (master's or doctoral)
- Additional Information:
- No separate educator license required (TSPC not needed for OTs)
- Support provided by Ardor Health Solutions & A.S.K. (Allied Support for Kids) division
