Banquet Cook

Baton Rouge Country Club

Banquet CookCooks support the back-of-house operations and kitchens through preparing, cooking, and plating dishes for member meals and events while maintaining excellent customer service.The banquet cook will perform these tasks for events and banquets, as well as ensuring food stays hot, garnishing plates, and performing carving and buffet station duties.Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:Setting up and stocking workstations with necessary suppliesWork with other kitchen staff to coordinate, prepare, and cook food for service including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and cooking menu itemsEnsure food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, accurate, and in a timely mannerSupport back-of-house operations especially pertaining to food quality, safety standards, food rotation, and storagePresent, garnish, and arrange final dishesEnsure proper inventory and make sure all final products are freshMonitor maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen area and kitchen equipmentAdhere to HACCP food safety proceduresPerform other duties as requiredFulltime employee benefits include:Competitive benefits package including health insurance and 401(k) participationTwo weeks of paid vacationEmployer-paid mealsThe Baton Rouge Country Club is a private social club designed to provide its members, their families, and guests an exceptional country club experience.
