We are seeking an experienced Mechanical QA/QC Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical systems are installed in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and applicable codes. This role is critical to maintaining the highest level of quality throughout the construction process while supporting project schedules and successful client turnover.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections on mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical equipment installations.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and applicable codes to verify compliance.
• Inspect materials and equipment prior to installation to ensure they meet project requirements.
• Verify proper installation of piping systems, ductwork, equipment, supports, and mechanical assemblies.
• Coordinate and witness pressure testing, leak testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and system start-up activities.
• Document inspections, deficiencies, corrective actions, and maintain QA/QC reports and turnover documentation.
• Track punch list items and ensure deficiencies are resolved in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and commissioning teams to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and project quality requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and provide updates on inspection status and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Mechanical QA/QC or mechanical construction.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, P&IDs, and project specifications.
• Experience with pressure testing, commissioning, and quality documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, ASME standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Autodesk Build is preferred.

Preferred Certifications

• OSHA 30-Hour Construction
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) (preferred)
• NCCER Mechanical Certification
• Experience with commissioning and turnover documentation
