Senior Mechanical Engineer

As the project progresses through engineering and construction, they are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to take ownership of critical mechanical and process systems.Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone who has worked on complex facilities within nuclear, oil & gas, chemicals, power generation, industrial manufacturing or another highly regulated process environmentThe RoleYou will be responsible for mechanical and piping systems throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with engineering, procurement, equipment suppliers and construction teams.Key responsibilities will include:Engineering and design of piping, fluid and mechanical systemsDeveloping and reviewing specifications, calculations, drawings and technical documentationReviewing piping layouts, equipment designs and vendor documentationSupporting ASME B31.3 process piping design and complianceProviding technical oversight of equipment suppliers and fabrication activitiesSupporting procurement and technical bid/vendor evaluationsReviewing and supporting FAT/SAT testingWorking directly with construction teams to resolve field engineering issuesConducting equipment and system walkdowns during installationSupporting system turnover, testing and commissioning activitiesEnsuring engineering activities meet applicable quality and regulatory requirementsWe are interested in experienced mechanical engineers with a strong background in somecombination of:ASME B31.3 Process PipingPiping design and/or xhyhwjd stress analysisFluid and thermal systemsTanks, pressure-containing equipment or mechanical equipmentHVAC or industrial ventilation systemsPumps, valves and associated instrumentationEquipment specification and vendor managementEngineering support during constructionQuality-controlled or highly regulated engineering environmentsThis is an opportunity to join a well-funded organization at an important stage of project delivery and have direct involvement in taking engineered systems from design through procurement, construction, testing and operation
