Graphic Designer 1 – Production Artist Location: Beaverton, OR (Onsite – No Remote) Duration: 4 Months Production Artist – Footwear Digital Design, within the Design Excellence organization. The team takes graphics from Graphic Designers and executes them for Production. Creating tech pack schematics and making good design decisions. Who Are We Looking For A technical, production-minded graphic designer — this role is heavy on the technical graphic design side. Someone who understands design thinking, but this is not a conceptual design role. Genuine interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics. What Will You Work On Taking graphics from Graphic Designers and executing them for production. Building tech pack schematics. Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, and maintaining files for product design. Making sound design decisions within production constraints. Portfolio Expectations Design schematics, range as a graphic designer, digital design for print. Labeling design dimensions, separating layers, packaging design. Portfolios should be more technical and show process work for print, book, or product design. Not looking for: illustration-heavy or branding-heavy portfolios, or portfolios focused on concept work. Must-Have 1+ years of experience with schematic or graphic production design — e.g. packaging, print design, footwear, technical graphic design, book design, typography. Graphic Design degree or similar. Strong technical graphic design capability; understands design thinking without being a conceptual designer. Interest in production, the technical side of design, and building schematics. Portfolio demonstrating technical process work. Nice-To-Have Knowledge of pre-press, screen printing, trims, printing process, typography. Adobe Illustrator, pre-press color separations, maintaining files for product design. Strong footwear interest (experience not required). Previous industry experience in this space. Onsite required — remote work not permitted. Badge and system access required. 40 hrs/week. Hire Talent
