Required Combination of Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering AND 5+ years of experience OR Master's degree in Engineering AND 3+ years of experience

Required Skills for the Quality Engineer: Problem solving and root cause analysis, Data-driven decision making, Communication and cross functional collaboration, Attention to detail, Process improvement, Cross functional teamwork with professional and production staff, Adaptability to changing conditions

Preferred Skills: Knowledge of quality standards, FMEA, risk management, Conflict resolution, Leadership & influence

Quality Engineer Overview: The main function of a Quality Engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical Quality Engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Problem solving, corrective actions: lead/support investigations into quality issues (scrap/rework/customer complaints), develop and implement corrective and preventative actions, Use quality tools like 8D, fishbone, and FMEA
• Process monitoring/continuous improvement: use data and risk analysis to direct actions, collaborate with small business team (manufacturing engineers, operations) to improve process capability and reduce variation
• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze quality data (e.g., defect rates, process capability, SPC charts), Prepare reports for management and cross-functional teams, Track KPIs such as First Pass Yield, internal and external PPM
• Training and Support: train operators on quality standards and inspection techniques, support cross-functional teams with quality-related expertise
