Step into a pivotal role supporting students’ success for the 2026-2027 academic year as a full-time school psychologist. This contract opportunity offers a fulfilling chance to provide on-site services at 37.5 hours per week, with the possibility that hybrid arrangements may be considered. Your expertise will help foster positive learning environments and enable students to thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current and active Illinois School Psychologist Certificate (PEL)
- Previous experience or strong internship background in a school psychology setting
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to diverse caseload needs (final caseload assignments to be determined)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to confidentiality
- Dedicated to supporting the needs and development of students and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive student assessments and interpret data to inform educational decisions
- Provide direct intervention, counseling, and support to students
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create individualized education plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise on student behavior, learning strategies, and mental health
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Serve as a trusted resource for crisis intervention and support
